William Sherman is currently vice provost for academic planning and professor of sport and exercise science at Ohio State. Dr.
Sherman will begin his new job at Akron on June 1; he replaces Elizabeth Stroble, who is now president of Webster University near St. Louis. At Akron, Dr. Sherman will oversee academic planning and budgeting, curriculum development, enrollment and retention, assessment, student affairs and information technology.
